Sarah and Marc with the ball at eye height

Matthias Platzeck informed himself about the media network media.net and was surprised

Even if you wanted, you had no chance to avoid the pictures of the wedding of Sarah Connor and Marc Terenzi this week. Pro Sieben landed a media hit with the finale of the serial "Sarah & Mark in love". The efficient couple used those pictures even in the brand new music clip of the husband. "And this is all from us", told Nick Zimmermann, CEO of the Babelsberg Park Studios yesterday the prime minister of Brandenburg, Matthias Platzeck. The Park Studios had sent the sound track from Potsdam to Barcelona and had delivered high professional wedding pictures to the TV broadcast station.

The Park Studios are an example of a successful use of the network. The prime minister came to Babelsberg in order to talk with the members of the media.net berlinbrandenburg about the future direction of the business development. Business development should be in future more targeted towards branch networks. Platzeck wants to stabilise the strong sectors. The media sector is thereby an excellent example of a prospering network: as a lone fighter we would not be able to be such successful, said Nick Zimmermann. But with our focus on TV shows and event productions and the focus of the Studio Babelsberg on film and cinema it works. Since 1997, the Park Studios work on the site of the ancient DEFA-studios with 12 permanent employees and 80 free employess.

On the other hand, the software company TeleClix is still at the beginning. Since 2004, the CEO Alexander Schulz-Heyn with his team of 10 employees tries to sell the software for interactive television. TeleClix produces and develops techniques, which allows users on the basis of MHP (Multimedia Home Platform), to gather information and additional services synchronously to the TV programme. Prime minister Matthias Platzeck was very impressed by the possibilities of this technique- especially in the context of the Football World Championship 2006. With this new technique, not only can every game situation be analysed statistically, but there will be also absolute new perspectives realisable. One could for example follow the football match at eye height of Michael Ballack or one could watch the football field from the perspective of a football. From a technical perspective, this is already possible, says Alexander Schulz-Heyn. He moved from Karlsruhe to Potsdam on purpose, as he searched the proximity to the playout center, where the software is brought in, and as Babelsberg has a good reputation.
