Trip to Cannes

Cannes(ak) - The Medienboard Berlin-Brandeburg enabled five junior producers and entrepreneurs from the region to visit the television exhibition. The project "How to Mip" offers young talents the chance to tie international business contacts. Successful was the journey to Cannes for Judit Ruster from Pan European Pictures: she could make a US-cinema distributor deal for both of her documentary films. "I could make precise contacts at the exhibition, that I could not have made without the MIP participation", tells Ruster. The project should be pursued, Mediaboard CEO Petra Müller explains why:"With "How to Mip" we want to give young producers the chance to socialise with world distributors, investors and other producers on an international basis. Not only does the procreation profit, but also the media site." Eligible for the programme are TV producers from Berlin and Brandenburg, whose firm foundation dates back not longer than five years.
